This photography specialist holiday has been designed to explore your creative potential - beginner or intermediate level under the guidance of Sarah – an experienced traveller / photographer. Capture the essence of vibrant Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai province with some great photo opportunities whilst advancing your photographic skills amidst colourful surroundings and like-minded fellow travellers. In addition to taking great photos, explore the delicious regional cuisine of Northern Thailand - quite different from you local Thai restaurant!

Photography Level: Beginner and intermediate
Accommodation: 8 nights comfortable 3/ 3.5 star hotel / boutique guest house / teakwood lodge cabin.
N.B For those solo travellers who like their own space, rooms are available on a single person basis for an extra single supplement charge. Where possible we stay in small boutique mid-range accommodation that have character, style and warm hospitality.
Tour guide: Sarah Jenkins an experienced traveller (155 countries) and photographer is the tour / photography instructor. Chiang Mai area is one of her favourite Asian destinations and she will not only show you key landmarks for picture-taking but also places off the usual tourist map. In Chiang Rai, we use the services of experienced local guide, himself a descendant of a minority tribe, with amazing knowledge of the Northern Thailand area and who speaks excellent english.

Tour cost and inclusions: $7500 incl 8 nights hotel/ boutique guesthouse accommodation (twin share - ask single supplement cost for own room) , breakfast each day, two lunches, domestic transport, guide fees, elephant trek fee, photography instruction.
N.B International flights and transport to and from Chiang Mai airport, dinners, drinks, spending money are not included.

This specialist photography tour is designed to make the most of photographic opportunities along the journey whilst being enjoyable and fun! It allows time to learn the fundamentals of digital photography, advancing your skills and creativity to ensure you come away with some great photographs as well as sharing knowledge and experiences with like minded people.
You will be surprised how much you can pick up in 9 days. Tailored for beginners or those who just want to become more confident photographers you will learn how to make the most of your digital camera - its functions and settings including: aperture, shutter speed, ISO setting, white balance, exposure compensation. And the key elements behind a strong image: composition, depth of field, lighting, creative use of colour, perspective and view point.
